My name is Zach Staniewicz. I have been involved with athletics and strength training since I was a small kid and have had a interest in old school training as long as I can remember. We offer American made old school strength equipment. Featuring Thomas Inch dumbbells, blobs, anvil handles, and accessories. I started making these bells and blobs to fill a void in the market. I wanted these items for my gym and they were either too expensive, or not available.
These casting are made at Clinch River Castings foundry in Jacksboro, Tennessee, and are available for pickup at the foundry.
Raw cast handle version has a grittier surface and a small seam on either side that is grounded off. There is a $5 charge for bells with the steel pipe insert.
Steel pipe insert handle does not have a parting line seam for a smoother more machined feel. Both handles are 2 3/8" diameter, 4" long
4.25" long, 2.375" diameter
1018 steel solid handle
The plates lock into the handle to simulate the same roll as a solid inch dumbbell.
Bolt inventory for Inch handle
I recommend using the smooth (Pancake) flat 1" standard plates so you can fit more weight per inch of bolt length. Before ordering bolts measure the height of plates you have so you know what length of bolts you need for the weight you want.

Ordering Process
The Inch dumbbells are made to order. The Inch training handles and blobs are in stock and ready to ship. To order a bell, the customer pays for just the bell first. It takes about a week to get the dumbbell made. The customer will then be sent a invoice for freight shipping. After the shipping cost is paid the dumbbell will be shipped. It takes about a week to ship the bell to the customer. Dumbbells are shipped to the closest distribution center to the customer to waive a $100 liftgate and residential pup truck fee. Dumbbells shipped to a XPO service center or Estes Freight service center must be picked up within 48 hours after arrival, or there will be a storage fee the customer is responsible for. Dumbbells ship with either XPO or Estes Freight The dumbbells can be picked up at the foundry in Jacksboro, TN during weekdays 8am- 4pm to waive shipping charges.
Blobs ship through USPS with flat rate box for $25 per blob, which include insurance to cover the cost of them losing a package. USPS has been very hit an miss on shipping blobs, sometimes they loose blobs, sometimes they take a month and a half to ship blobs, and sometimes they ship within a week. Blobs can ship through UPS for a more reliable service, but for a higher cost. UPS shipping for one blob is usually around $80 per blob in the USA. Handles and bolts ship through USPS/UPS, and I will give you a quote for shipping the handle and bolts after they are packaged. You can place your order by sending me a email to zstan3@aol.com with what you want, your name, shipping address and phone number. I accept venmo, paypal or zelle. I prefer zelle or venmo, there will be a additional 3% fee to use paypal to cover cost's.

It takes about two weeks to get the dumbbell made and about a week to have it shipped.
What is the texture like on your castings?
The texture of the castings is similar to 120 grit sandpaper. After they are poured the castings are shot peened and sand blasted, to give it a consistent texture.
How does your fatman blob compare to the original?
The replica is right around the same difficulty as the original, with a grittier texture. The slopes are the same and has the same width. The slopes on the replica are the same as the original non handle side. The slopes on the replica are symmetrical and the same on both sides, vs the original has a flatter side on the handle side.
